Hi there!
I have a Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5000 Laser, and it's always been working as it should.
However, since yesterday I believe, it's not working.
None of my products - the mouse nor keyboard worked. But I've fixed the keyboard, looking through some of the tips on the forums here. Now my main problem is the mouse.
I don't know what's wrong with it, but it doesn't work. It has all the lights on, full battery, the laser seem's to work. But it just won't connect or something.
Also, after reading through the forums, I saw that it could be the Broadcom Blueetooth update that's messing it all up.
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Could someone please help me, since this is like really getting on my nerves? ![]()

ADDING:
Also, I've downloaded the latest version of SetPoint, version 6.15 for 64-bits.
But it doesn't seem to connect any of my component - mouse or keyboard. Though the keyboard is working for me?

HELP! This morning the Logitech MX 5000 Setpoint will not lock onto the mouse or the keyboard! I have unplugged and replugged everything, unloaded the Setpoint software reloaded the setpoint software, tried to involve windows and nothing.
All setpoint will do is tell me to turn off the mouse power and turn it back on and press the find button. Set point the says that it found the mouse and starts the locking process and then stops and goes looking for the mouse for about 5 more times and then I have to turn the mouse off and press the red button and the same thing over and over.
So I tell setpoint that I don't want to use the Logitech MX 5000 mouse (Good old MS standby USB mouse) and set point finds the keyboard and give me a 4 digit key to insert. I insert the four numbers and setpoint starts the process and the goes looking for the keyboard again. Setpoint find the key board and ask to insert 4 new numbers and this goes on 5-6 times and then finally gives up until I shut off the keyboard and the whole things starts over again.
So then I think that the transmitter is bad so I go to windows Bluetooth and it identifies both mouse & keyboard but when I unplug the transmitter windows can't find the mouse not the keyboard. And yes, I tried plugging the transmitter into several USB ports, I restarted the computer several times both hard & soft.
This computer has XP Pro P4 4gb ram and currently functioning on MS USB keyboard & mouse YUCK!
HELP ASAP!!! Thanks, Richard

SOLUTION!
I went OUTSIDE the Logitech Forum and found the above link. I don't know what it is or for other an a fix for the MX 5000. There are TWO 94mb zip files - one each for 32 bit & 64 bit. I downloaded the 32bit and followed the instructions but the Setpoint would not find the mouse until I unplugged the USB mouse-VIOLA!!
I am having the same problem "finding" the MX 5000 keyboard so I am going to finish this message and unplug the USB keyboard & hopefully setpoint will find the keyboard. If not, well, at least I have the mouse working! TTFN,

YUREEKA! The above ..................................................
..................................................
............................................m.m...
..............................................p...
..................................................
OK, well the keyboard still sticks, but I have a mouse & a keyboard functioning albiet the temperature is now in centigrate instead of farenhite and keyboard calls me "USER" (short for looser? for not throwing this thing in the trash instead of spending two days trouble shooting it to make it function again?).
Oh, and another thing, the Set poing no longer allows me to switch the right/left click buttons. I have to go into windows control panel and change the mouse setting each time I reboot the computer. Will someone remind me how bad the MS wireless equipment is so that I don't have such a bad taste for the Logitech equipment???
I hope that all this is more helpful to the next guy that comes along with this same problem. Logitech Tech Help was totally absent for this event :^( TTFN, Richard
