Re: Logitech K750 keyboard charging issue

Well if that's the case then I guess I'm done with the K750. The room mine is in only gets 15 LUX so I'd have to shine an artificial light on it while using it all the time. Too much of a hassle :smileysad:

I'll just get the K800 and enjoy the micro usb charging.

Re: Logitech K750 keyboard charging issue

Thats quite unfortunate the LUX is so low in your space.

Do you not have the ability to use it with another PC for a day or so? It would charge back up quick at least.

Its really not a bad keyboard once you work with the limitations.

Re: Logitech K750 keyboard charging issue

I'm not sure about it going into standby after a minute of no use. Perhaps it's if your computer is off? I'm on my replacement keyboard and what I do is I sit the keyboard on my kitchen counter when the battery is low, leaving the PC on of course in the other room, and it charges right up. It's a pain to have to do that just for your keyboard, but I've worked it into my routine now and it's been working fine thus far.

Re: Logitech K750 keyboard charging issue

I've taken to just leaving the blinds open more and turning my desk lamp on when I don't mind the extra light.

I haven't done any more rigorous testing. if I do i'll post.

Re: Logitech K750 keyboard charging issue

Or I can just get the K800 and charge it with a cable when it gets low. It uses the same cable as my wireless G700 mouse to charge, so I'd only need the one cable. Win-win in my book. It's just a shame the K800 isn't as thin as the K750.

Re: Logitech K750 keyboard charging issue

Hi!

I bought a K750 few days ago. I used it about 8 hours a day (game).

The battery discharged from 100% to 95%. I put it to the window (500 LUX) It is not charged up.

The keyboard was at the sunlight 4 hours. nothing...

Then i measured the voltage with a multimeter.

The battery level: 2.83V

Then i mesured the charging voltage.

If the keyboard turning ON, the charging voltage is:1.26V

If the keyboard turning OFF, the charging voltage is: 2.99V !!!!!!

So, i think there are some problem with Maxell ML2032 battery, or the charging electrinics.

(sorry for my bad english)

Tuleon,

How exactly were you able to test the batteries voltage when its inside the keboard in order for you to of been able to get a reading on the 'charging voltage'

Re: Logitech K750 keyboard charging issue

i remove the battery from keyboard, then  measure the voltage. now its 2.93V (about 97%, the 100%= 3.1V)

then i take out to the sunlight, and i measured the voltages without battery. i have  long test leads., It fits into the gap.

if i turn off keyboard ,the solar cell voltage stable 2.99V (between 60-500Lux.)  but if not, 1,26V.

ifound a maxel datasheet with charging characteristic:

http://biz.maxell.com/products/industrial/battery/ml/pdf/ML2032_DataSheet_e.pdf

Today my keyboard was at sunlight about 6 hours, it could not charged up.

I dont know, what is the problem...because the solar cell charging, that's for sure.

I think the solar cells one by one 3V voltage gives off. (I covered one, so also gives off 3v)

There are 6Volt solar cells, and they cant charging the battery...

Re: Logitech K750 keyboard charging issue

This K750 is perfect. But the Solar App is bad.

I have a god idea to fix the battery problem. Because the keyboard always charging the battery, but the software cant refresh the value.

Reset the Solar App Battery level History in Windows 7:

1. Turn OFF keyboard

2. Delete all files in this directory: c:\ProgramData\LogiShrd\SolarApp

3. Run the Task Manager, search and close this:  L4301_Solar.exe

4. Turn On keyboard and press the solar button.

The battery level value now real. 100% work!

Re: Logitech K750 keyboard charging issue

tuleon, wouldn't that be neccesary to do over and over again to keep the info updated? Because, in that case, that wouldn't really be "a good idea".
