Keyboards and Keyboard/Mice Combo Sets

I have got the Logitech MX Keyboard and Mouse combo which i'm trying to put onto my new works computer.  My works computer is on Windows 7 64bit tower.  I have connected the usb, power and Keyboard lead into my tower, then downloaded setpoint 2.22 & 4.24 (as XP as the operating system as windows 7 is not an option) i used the 64bit option.

    When i switch my computer on i get the blue connect button on the bluetooth reciever and i get 2x green lights (1 either side) but when i press the connect button they both go off and won't come back on again untill i disconnect and re-connect the usb lead.  At this point i'm stuck there are no options on stepoint for mouse or keyboard connections etc

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello Craig_Platt,

Please provide the M/N and P/N usually located on the underside of the keyboard and inside the battery compartment of the mouse. There may also be a P/N on the receiver.  If I understand your issue correctly, you are having problems installing on Windows 7, correct?

The mouse P/N is 851977-0000

The Mouse M/N is M-RAB81

The Keyboard P/N is 867284-0120

The Keyboard M/N is Y-RP20 RT7RBT

The Reciever P/N is 830879-0000

The Reciever M/N is C-BM16A

Thank you for the device information. Your mouse and keyboard combo is the Cordless Desktop® MX™ for Bluetooth. Unfortunately this set is not supported for Windows 7. Have you tried installing the Easy Synchronization for Bluetooth® available here. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/433/3007?softwareid=657&osid=1&section=downloads

Software should not be needed to establish a connection to the bluetooth receiver. First press the connect button on the mouse or keyboard and then quickly press and release the connect button on the Bluetooth hub. Repeat the process for the next device. Since the set is not supported for Windows 7, if this does not work, we can conclude that there have been too many changes since Windows XP for the Cordless Desktop® MX™ for Bluetooth to work as intended on Windows 7.
