Can I use the Wireless MK320 on a Desktop PC? I bought one because the description said desktop and I am also getting a new(used) computer to replace a dinosaur from 10 years ago, but upon further research I find out the MK320 is designed for laptops. I know, my fault for not researching ....I was in a hurry. But will the set work with the Windows 7 Desktop without any problems? Seems like a stupid question.

What makes you think this is solely for laptops?
When Logitech describes things in those terms it is usually about the size and portability. There is nothing to stop anyone from using the hardware on a desktop PC.
Same operating system, same USB ports, same drivers and so on.

By the way, this one does not seem to need any Logitech software. Just the native Windows drivers.
Maybe that is another reason why they describe it as Laptop friendly.

Hello,
The only feature other than being compact in size that would make the MK320 a lap top friendly set is that the mouse for the MK320 has a space to store the receiver.
Best Regards,

So does my M570, but that hardly qualifies as laptop friendly.

This product most definitely needs a non-MicroSoft driver in order to work properly with Windows 7. I have been unable to find a Logitech driver for the MK320 kit and without that Win7 defaults to an "HID-compliant mouse" driver. With that driver you are unable to do any clicking with the mouse wheel - which is extremely annoying if you expect that middle-clicking on a link will cause it to open in a new tab.

It is the SetPoint software that controls features like that, not just the drivers.
Even if you had Logitech drivers, you would need to set things in SetPoint.
