Re: MK260 Keyboard Hotkeys not working.

[ Edited ]

I just had this feeling of going to Services.msc to check something out. Low and below I saw this...

It was actually DISABLED. So I went to ENABLE it and my hotkey works! Ahh so happy! :smileyhappy:

Thanks for all your help. :smileyhappy: This is one learning experience for me and probably for you to remind future users who might have this problem! :smileyvery-happy:

Re: MK260 Keyboard Hotkeys not working.

I'm running Win XP service pack 3 and I am unable to start the HID service. Any Thoughts?

Re: MK260 Keyboard Hotkeys not working.

Brian

I thought the problem was solved but the  "Startup type" defaults back to  "Disabled" evey time I boot up the computer. For some reason the "Automatic" setting are not being saved even though I am clicking on "Apply"  "Start" and "OK" correctly. All the hot keys work then correctly until I switch the computer off.

My operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate

Any Ideas please

Re: MK260 Keyboard Hotkeys not working.

Hi @ all,

first of all conratulations to Bryan for his Solution with the Services.msc!

In my case it worked well.

I use Win 8 (German). The service I had to start is called "Zugriff auf Eingabegeräte" or in english „Human Interface Device Access“; internal Name: "hidserv". No problem with restarting the computer.

Yours urmel from the baltic sea :smileywink:
