MK300 Wireless Keyboard & Mouse Keep Disconnecting for about 10 seconds

I've been using my MK300 wireless keyboard and mouse for about a year now and I've finally decided to try to get to the bottom of this issue.  Randomly, about 3 or 4 times each day the wireless mouse and keyboard will just stop working.  They appear to disconnect from the computer.  After about 10 to 15 seconds, I hear a sound from the computer speakers like when you plug in a new device to the USB port (sort of a deep two note "donk-donk" sound) and then the keyboard and mouse work again.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Notes:  I'm running Windows 7 SP1 on a Nexlink laptop that I plug into a 24" monitor when in the office.

Re: MK300 Wireless Keyboard & Mouse Keep Disconnecting for about 10 seconds

Hi soarer,

It sounds like the receiver is losing connection to the computer, and reconnecting.

You can try plugging it into different USB ports, and if you have a lot of devices plugged into other USB ports, try disconnecting them, to see if it keeps happening. Also if you can try another computer, that would be a good idea.

You may just need to have the receiver replaced if it keeps happening.
