Keyboards and Keyboard/Mice Combo Sets

Hello, 

In regards to my losing of the USB is there any possible ways I can replace it? 

I've researched the following seeing 2 different options both confronting each other

1.) I can buy the "Cordless Desktop Wave Pro Receiver" and it should work.

2.) There are no unifying USB's such as The Wave Pro receiver and you need to make/give me a specific one

I'm not exactly sure what information is needed so I'll give everything
