Re: MX 3200 beeping

Hi

I experienced exactly the same problem:

put in new batteries and the keyboard started beeping (but still typed during the actual beeps) and the LCD would not display. Started troubleshooting but it appears this is the only thread online for this problem.

Anyway I fixed it accidently so signed up to post my fix on here. The fix is stupid and makes no logical sense whatsoever.

I accidently stuck ONE of the four batteries in the WRONG way around and the problem was FIXED!

The LCD flashed up, the beeping stopped and the keyboard is functioning properly.

bizarre......

Re: MX 3200 beeping

Hello everyone, I know it might be a tad late but I am quite sure I've found the solution to the problem you all have been experiencing. My keyboard was fully functional until today when I decided that I should clean it. I decided to take the cleaning a little further than the norm and decided to actually take apart the keyboard to see what could have got stuck in there. As soon as I pulled it apart I noticed the beeping you have all described but I thought nothing of it and continued what I was doing. After putting it all back together and placing the batteries back in I noticed that the keyboard had started beeping again. I looked at the keyboard and noticed the clock wasnt working so I thought hey, maybe I hit a button or unplugged something while taking it apart so once again i took it apart and noticed a transparent tab capable of transmitting electricity. I saw a little port thingy on the circuit board behind where the clock is and saw that it could fit. I plugged it in, put the keyboard back together and my keyboard is once again functional and no beeping! :smileyhappy: Hope this helps

Re: MX 3200 beeping IT WORKED!! THANKS ABUNCH!!

I had no problem with this keyboard until 2 weeks ago when this beeping nonsense started. The battery icon was flashing also, even when I just added some fresh batteries. I did just what you said and took the screws out of the back to take the keyboard apart, and located the clear tab that is situated behind the clock. It was attached to its insertion point on the circuit but appeared to be lose. I took it out and reinserted it! IT WORKED!! You saved me from throwing this keyboard away!! It is a very annoying problem and your solution is the ONLY one that worked that I have found. Hopefully this will help someone else!

Re: MX 3200 beeping

Press the Function key (FN) and "Pics" key next to the slider on the left and the beeping will stop.
