Re: MX 3200 beeping

Hi, me again. So last night I removed the batteries before I went to sleep. 3:30 AM: BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! AWAKE! AWAKE! AWAKE! Tonight I'll remove the batteries and try Seanz's procedure below. After that I'm calling Stephen King.

Hold the FN key ( located besides the right ALT key) and press the 'pic' button ( located above the 'x' button besides the dynamic scroll ).

Hi JerryInNYC!

Please let me know if the problem still persists after removing the battery. I look forward for your response.

Re: MX 3200 beeping

In all of the posts I've seen, the only suggestion from Logitech has been to hold down the FN and pics keys at the same time.

Well, that doesn't work with my keyboard... the only way to keep it from beeping is to remove the batteries... the MX600 mouse the MX3200 came with works fine.  Let's backup for a moment.  What is exactly wrong with the keyboard and how does this get fixed? :smileymad:

Re: MX 3200 beeping

Hi!

I have exactly the same problem with my brand new MX3200.

From the second I have installed the batteries, it is beeping once per second...
I have tried evrything to stop that: Fn+Pics ; Fn+Function keys... The only way to stop the beeps is to remove the batteries.

This problem has nothing to do with the computer: It beeps when the PC is on or off...
The Keyboard is connected with the computer , some keys are working (for exemple the "pics" key opens the "my pictures" explorer. But alle the usual keys are not working.

Re: MX 3200 beeping

Dear Support,

My keyboard keeps beeping.  The LCD timer display keeps flashing when the beeping starts and the low battery icon in that display flashes as well.  I've tried replacing the batteries with new ones and all the solutions mentioned in this forum to no avail.  The beeping may stop after a while but as soon as I begin typing with it, the problem starts again.  I've tried reinitiating the wireless signal from the receive and hitting the connect button on the keyboard numerous times.  That doesn't work.

Mouse works fine though.

Any ideas?  Thank you.

Re: MX 3200 beeping

Today my mx3200 suddenly started beeping as described in this thread. I have used it for more than a year with no problems. It is a keyboard/mouse combo, and the mouse has no problems.

The LCD is not flashing as others have reported. But once in a while there is a double beep with the second beep in a higher pitch. It seems that charachters get through when a beep is emitted. If I hold down a key continuously, one character will get through to the PC every time a beep sounds.

I have changed batteries and done the "capacitator" thing, but nothing helps.

Is there a fix for this? Please help..

Re: MX 3200 beeping

This happened to me today.  i'm using the mx bluetooth keyboard from the mx5500 combo model.  it's beeping and flashing until i take out the batteries.  pop them back in and same thing happens.

keyboard was working fine for months until now.

Re: MX 3200 beeping

I just held down Pictures/F Mode and everything stopped.  But now my keyboard wont even turn on!  No more flashing/beeping.  Just death.  No sign of life....

Is Logitech support reading this forum? I can see that the last Logitech post in this thread was in 2007..

It would be nice to know if there is a fix for this, or if the keyboard hardware is simply broken, which would be very disappointing..

Re: MX 3200 beeping

I started the post and gave up on the keyboard 2 years ago.  It is in a box sitting in the closet.  I do not believe that logitech looks at these or even really cares they want us to help our selves.  Good luck, I don't think that there is anything we can do there was just a faulty batch I am going to guess.  I think I will find that keyboard today and put it under the back tire of my truck and run over it a couple of times and then I will at least get some enjoyment out of it!!:smileyvery-happy:
