I bought a Logitech wireless laser mouse a couple of years ago and it quit working the first 3 months so I just bought another mouse. I rediscovered it and decided to try it again. Anyways I plug the receiver into the computer and nothing works, I tried changing the batteries, trying other computers, PS2 adapter, nothing works. Using the latest version of setpoint on Windows 7. The Unifying software won't detect the receiver.
M/N: C-BS35
P/N: 831486-0000
PID: LZ607AT
By the way, the M/N matches this BUT the mouse looks like this. I was just wondering if there were any tricks or suggestions that might get it working before I trash it. Thanks.

Hello Zwitter,
The MX 620 Cordless Laser Mouse is not a Unifying device, please try Logitech Connection Utility http://www.logitech.com/en-us/447/3516
The part number for receiver is (810-000281) for MX 620 Cordless Laser Mouse, you may want to check and be sure you have the correct receiver.

I'm using the connect utility, but when I'm asked to plug the receiver in and wait for the NEXT button to appear, it never does. When I plug the receiver in, the device manager says the drivers installed correctly.
Thank you for responding.

I also thought I should mention that I have 2 of the exact same mice, and I plugged the receiver that I KNOW works into 3 different computers using the connect utility and the NEXT button never appears.
Thank you.

Hello Zwitter,
Since the receiver is being detected by the computers, I suspect this receiver is working and may have have it's own connection procedure. Do you see a pin hole on the receiver? If there is a pin hole please try the following:
With the receiver plugged directly in to the computer and the computer powered on, use a paper clip to press the button in the pinhole. Then press and release the reset button on the bottom of the mouse.

There is no pinhole. Thank you for responding so quickly.
