My MX5500 keyboard keep getting disconnected.
Overtime I am typing and suddenly there is no characters coming I look on keyboard's LCD it says ( ! No connection) it is so frequent that I had to wait stop 4 times to type this particular line.
i tried from setpoint to connect/restart my keyboard pressing red button entering passcode. it didn't help.
Batteries are new.
I use Vista 32Bit (fresh installation)
Setpoint 4.72.40
Only USB attached in my desktop kb/mouse Bluetooth dongle
My PC configuration
EVGA 790i FTW board,INTEL Q9450,4gb ram,Evga gtx 280 ftw gpu
My keyboard is still under warranty. And i still saved "ORIGINAL BOX" so if there is no solution here can you please tell me a way to send this junk back to logitech ?
Thank you.

Hi
,
Please check the surrounding area for possible sources of interference (wireless routers are particularly prone to this). If its possible, please try using the keyboard with a different computer (preferably in a different environment) to verify if it is a hardware problem.

Hi SlimFady
,
That usually indicates that there's a problem with the keyboard's battery indicator (pun unintended
). This kind of defect is covered by the warranty; if you'd like to make a warranty claim, please send us an e-mail.

Thank for responding. (Cute Pun![]()
Unfortunately, I purchased this item from Amazon.com and after reading your response, followed the link and turned the keyboard over for the M/N, S/N and they'd both been "sharpied" out? ![]()
Guess I'm screwed?

Had the same problem it would disconnect and reconnect fast all the time.. tell me the battery is low. Beep at me and tell me it's not connected while typing. (missing letters and freezing) Finally got angry yanked the batteries out and started looking for another setup. The next day (18 hrs later) I was stuck and needed to use the keyboard, so reluctantly put the same batteries back in.. that was two weeks ago and not a hiccup since. Seems like it just needed a hard reset.
