MX5500 mouse is laggy

[ Edited ]

I am running Vista 64x SP2 and did a format a while back.... The mouse seems to be laggy. No issues with keyboard. I never changed a think other than reformat. I am still useing  a steelseries gaming mouse pad(glass) and I even added mouse feet pads on the MX mouse. I am also wondering if this combo is supported for Windows 7 as I plan to upgrade as soon as it's released. Below are my specs....

Re: MX5500 mouse is laggy

It's still laggy...... Any suggestions???

What I mean by laggy is........

I move the mouse and the cursur moves around the screen then it seems to get jerky and I will need to stop moving the mouse to make precise clicks or else i can't even close a window!

I'm having the same problem.  It seems like it has a likelier chance of being laggy when I'm downloading something or some I/O intensive process is occurring (such as watching a movie and playing the occasional game).  Do you notice a pattern as well?

Re: MX5500 mouse is laggy

hey, i have the same problem with my mouse. i tried this it might work ive only been using it for 5 minutes after trying but it seems to be working better. dunno. go to the control panel of the mouse. choose the chess piece tab on the left. game settings or whatever. and change it from "Setpoint implemetation" to "OS implementation" but i was dissapointed in the mouse after lagging and spending 200 bucks on the thing., it should work flawlessly. its rather annoying
