Revolution mouse (MX5500 set) stops responding to clicks

I got this set about 8 months ago, and all was well until just recently.  Occasionally, I'll click the left mouse button and it won't register that I released the button.  I cannot click anything else after that.  Sometimes the right click will stop working as well, but not always.  The mouse still tracks the same, it's just the clicking that stops working.  I can get it working again by turning the mouse off and on, but it's getting annoying.  Is this a setpoint thing?  I've reinstalled 4.70 (64 bit) several times and it is still happening.  I'm running Vista Ultimate x64.

Hi:smileyhappy:,

Please try reconnecting the mouse. If that doesn't work, please try using the mouse with a different computer to verify if it is a hardware problem.

Reconnecting the mouse fixes it (forgot to say that before), but it continues to happen.  Happens on a different PC too.

Bump...

Still happening.  Any more info from Logitech support?  This mouse is not even a year old.

[ Edited ]

Bumping this because I have a similar problem.

It is related to the setpoint software, not the mouse I believe, and I have tried it on two different PCs. Without warning the  mouse will stop being able to click anything. Sometimes resetting the bluetooth receiver helps, but not always. Restarting my pc does not help either. I'm running XP Pro.

Any help?

Hi:smileyhappy:,

In the event the problem repeats itself on a different computer, it is very likely to be a hardware issue. In this case, pelase e-mail Customer Support  to process a warranty replacement.

Re: Revolution mouse (MX5500 set) stops responding to clicks

My mouse will completely stop working for serval seconds before returning to full functionality. I have also recently had the same issue with the right click not working, turning the mouse on and off did seem to fix that issue.
