S510 keyboard with the MX1000 mouse

[ Edited ]

Hey there people, new here :smileyhappy:

I've been looking for a wireless keyboard upgrade for my desk, but it seems there are very few stand-alone wireless keyboards.

The one in the S510 combo looked pretty nice to me, and I was wondering whether it's possible or not that the two will work toegether with ONE receiver.

I'm not completely sure about this, but the keyboard seems to be able to work with the MX1000 receiver natively. I've stumbled upon this pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/56896224@N00/573592643/

In which, you see both the S510 and MX1000, with the MX1000 receiver only.

So, to the bottom line:

Do you think the 2 products would work together with the MX1000 receiver, and work good w/o any particular issues/connection interferences/noticable delay when using both at the same time (e.g. gaming)/etc...? -- Considering the fact I'm using a Vista Ultimate x86 based system.

(Just in case you didn't realize, I'm not intending to do pretty much anything with the mouse itself from the S510 set. Awfully strangly, the set together is still cheaper than most stand-alone wireless keyboards.)

Thank you.

Edit: bleh, not sure what's up with all these random spaces. Oh well.

Hi:smileyhappy:,

A list of compatible control devices can be found at the following link:

Thanks for the reply.

According to that link, MX1000 and S510 are not interchangable. However, they use different frequencies (the MX1000 uses 2.4gHz, the S510 uses 27mHz)

So is it possible to use the MX1000 and the S510 on the same computer? -- each one with its own receiver. Will it work in terms on of software?

Thanks.

Hi:smileyhappy:,

Yes, they can be used on the same computer with their own receivers. There shuoldn't be any software problems either.
