Setpoint and Media Player Conflict

I am using the MX-5500 cordless desktop set. My setup seems to have developed a problem that just began occuring a couple weeks ago. Shortly after I launch Windows Media Player, the visualization will lock up, i cannot click in the window, and i lose all responsiveness from my media keys and auxillary buttons on my mouse. After some time, these events seem to register, often 30 seoncds to a minute after i press the button. Eventually, the Logitech Setpoint Event Manager (UNICODE) process comes screeching to a halt and i receieve a windows error message informing me of this. After this crash, Media Player returns to full functionality with no problems. Yesterday I upgraded from Setpoint 4.60 to 4.70.213, but to no avail, as the issue seems to not be resolved.

Additionally, it seems that when i double click the tray icon for Setpoint, the window appears, but it is a blank gray window, with the X in the upper right corner replaced with a white box. After some time  (usually 15-45 seconds) this window responds and i am able to use it normally.

Thanks for your help,

Hi:smileyhappy:,

Looks like a problem with SetPoint. Please try performing a clean installation of SetPoint.

Re: Setpoint and Media Player Conflict

Hi CJ,

Before posting, I tried a clean install consisting of a full uninstall and reboot followed by reinstalling the latest version of Setpoint, but the problem does not seem to be solved.
