There is no unifying receiver plugged into your computer..

Today I bought a K400 keyboard from Best buy and I have been trying to install it for the last hour. I have downloaded setpoint and the unifying software. Once I get into the unifying software it asks to plug in the unifying reciever in and I do just what it asks, but no matter what usb port I plug it into in my laptop it still dosent show up. I've searched around the net and can't seem to really find any solutions. Can anyone please help me?

Do you have access to another PC so that you can check that you have not been sold a dud?

I'll give this a try when I can. I have to set up my desktop sometime tonight. Thanks for the suggestion.

Also try removing SetPoint, maybe even the Unifying Software.

This wonderful world of software means that you sometimes have to install software first, but sometimes you just plug in the hardware and that goes out and looks for the software.

Here I am grappling with persuading my PC to recognise a PCIe card.
