The Cordless Desktop Wave Pro receiver not letting the computer to shutdown nor boot up.

When trying to shutdown the computer with the receiver plugged in, the computer won't shutdown but after unplugging the receiver the computer starts to log-off and then shutdown.

When trying to boot the computer with the receiver plugged in cannot continue to Windows but after unplugging the receiver the computer starts to load Windows..

When the Windows completely loads before plugging the receiver the mouse and keyboard will to work perfectly.

What's the best fix for this?
