Keyboards and Keyboard/Mice Combo Sets

My old keyboard broken down and the only thing i could get was media Keyboard 600

The volume wheel only seems to work on the desktop, in games it never works - this is very annoying - my old keyboard worked, this doesn't (both logitech btw) so why not?

The mute button works, but turning the wheel doesn't work in games.

I'm on Windows 7 and the setpoint software seems to be the latest.
