I have a corded Wave keyboard. Before I booted my computer today I unplugged the keyboard to clean up some the the cord mess. After I booted the computer, the keyboard was no longer functioning. I unplugged and replugged the keyboard and Windows XP recognized the keyboard as "USB Multimedia Keyboard" and tried to install it. It would not install, could not find the software (drivers?).
If I right click on the keyboard in Device Manager and select update driver the same thing happens.I have uninstalled the keyboard in Device Manager and rebooted and get the same result.
Some suggestions on how I could get the keyboard installed again? Where is the driver XP is looking for?
Thanks,
knapph

Hi
,
Please try plugging the keyboard into a different USB port. If possible, please also try using the keyboard with a different computer.

Thanks for the reply. I was still unable to install the keyboard using a different USB port on the same computer. I have tried both direct and hub USB ports. I was able to install the keyboard successfully when I connected to a different computer.

Hi
,
Please check if there are any error messages in Device Manager.
