Keyboards and Keyboard/Mice Combo Sets

Hi

My 2 yr old son pressed the connect button on the receiver a gazillion times this afternoon . Now the keyboard won't work. The mouse works, but not the keyboard.

I changed the batteries. No luck.

I tried reconnecting many times. No luck.

I tried the Microsoft Fire Drill -- rebooting the computer. No luck.

I tried the <Ctrl><Alt><F12> <Connect> <Connect> <Esc> thing I saw in one post. No luck.

My receiver is connected by USB.

I got the keyboard working. I had seen something about draining the capacitor on one Support Community posting. But, the link to the instructions didn't go to the right place, so I wasn't sure how to do it. Anyway, this is what I did:

* Took out batteries

* Taped space bar down for 30 minutes

* replaced batteries

* followed normal connection process

Voila!
