YR0017 K360 not working

My girlfriend brought the K360 home and I plugged in the USB adapter in. Windows 7 (Bit) (HP G60 Notebook PC) recognized and installed the drivers needed. But the keyboard does not work. I tired all three USB ports and they all install the needed drivers but still nothing. I've also uninstalled the drivers and let them reinstall themselves. Replaced the batteries in the keyboard. But still nothing. Is there some kind of compatibility issue with HP G60 and the logitech K360 or is it just my luck?

 

OR could it be that this computer was upgraded to windows 7 and was originally Vista. I've tried everything to the best of my knowledge with some help from preexisting posts on this forum.

 

Anyone got any ideas? I'm open to any suggestion, aside from throwing the keyboard and the computer out the window. My girlfriend would kill me if I did that =P

The K360 is a unifying keyboard.

 

You may need to run the unifying software to pair the receiver and the keyboard.

 

If you don't have the software, then you can get it from the support page for that keyboard.

I tried it, but it never says that the USB is connected. I've tried unplugging it and plugging it back in but it doesn't seem to sense it's presence in the computer. Even though when I put the USB in it downloads the drivers needed.

One cause of this sort of thing can be left over rubbish. Stuff like drivers for USB kit that isn't there any more.

 

You may have to go through a complicated process of removing "hidden" USB drives.

 

That is probably best done with "proper" support from Logitech's hired hands. Searching this place might throw up something.

 

Did you try running the Unifying software in "Administrator" mode?
