diNovo Edge with the Unifying receiver?

Does Logitech have any plans of upgrading the diNovo Edge keyboard to have the Unified receiver instead of a separate Bluetooth receiver only for the keyboard? I'm sure many users would be happy to be able to connect their diNovo and Logitech mouse with the same receiver. Also being at the top of the model range, diNovo Edge really should have the same latest receiver technology with the newest mice.

Re: diNovo Edge with the Unifying receiver?

JoonasV,

Unfortunately, I can not offer you an answer but I just wanted to say that I agree that the Logitech diNovo Edge Keyboard should offer the latest receiver technology. I have held off on buying the diNovo Edge for about six month waiting for this upgrade or for the launch of the next generation diNovo Edge Keyboard. I've email customer support this question and will post any information that I get (if I get a response that is. I love Logitech products but I have not found their customer support very useful in the past).

JFTR: Same here. Eagerly waiting for the next gen diNovo, since neither the Wireless Illuminated Keyboard nor the Wireless Solar Keyboard even comes close to comfort of typing on the diNovo. What I miss though is the num pad and as well the possibility to permanently keep the Fn keys switched on, would love to see it on a next gen diNovo.

Re: diNovo Edge with the Unifying receiver?

I to would like to see a new dinovo edge. It would be ok to me if they kept the same design, but added only a numeric block like grinzzecat said. That's the only thing I'm missing. The design is nice and timeless, so I think they can't improve his.

As an extra it would be nice to have a replaceble battery ofcourse and maybe the possibility to choose illumination colors (this is verrry optional).

Maybe an aditioinal multitouch plate integrated or apart (to keep the size smaller).

I would like to see a future dinovo, the rest of de keyboards look like toys :smileyhappy:

I absolutely agree! I just replaced my mx1000 by a perf mx to get better wireless and a way smaller receiver, and would love to do the same with my keyboard, but in style nothing comes close to the dinovo... Pretty please Logitech?

Re: diNovo Edge with the Unifying receiver?

If they release The Logitech DiNovo Edge Keyboard With The Unifying Receiver and backlit keys I will get one :smileyhappy:

I have 2 of these keyboard and will upgrade ASAP.:smileysurprised:

They are an awesome board. Nothing comes close.  mine holds charge for about 3 to 4 weeks. they are very stylish more so than any other keyboard. best of all they have a mouse pad as should all top und boards even if itys a tiny pad.

I also hope they make them in white also. I use windows but I like white stuff.

Can I put my order in now. Ill pay $300 to $400

Re: diNovo Edge with the Unifying receiver?

I have used the unifying receiver from my MX950 mouse to also drive my DiNovo Edge Keyboard.

I am using Windows 8, and I simply used "Add Device" and search.

It asked me to type in the password displayed on the screen, and all works fine.

I took out the old receiver for the keyboard and now only have the one unifying receiver.

Re: diNovo Edge with the Unifying receiver?

Correction - it looks like it has used my inbuilt Bluetooth with my laptop rather than the unifying receiver.

I will say adding a Bluetooth device under Windows 8 is much easier than Windows 7 + OEM bluetooth drivers.
