Keyboards and Keyboard/Mice Combo Sets

I had been using logitech s510 with WinXP on an older computer.  My new computer also has XP.  Now my Num Lock button is disabled each time I logoff.  Its very frustrating and I cannot find any way to keep it turned on. I tried disabling it altogether but that did not work.
