Hello samson83,
Have you removed Motioninjoy?
To uninstall you have to do the following:
1: uninstall the motioninjoy drivers here "control panel -> programs and features"
2: go to device manager and delete all motioninjoy devices, You may have to check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device"
3: type "regedit" in the search bar and open it. Here you have to search for "DS3" using "Ctrl+F" and delete the DS3.exe
4: reboot

Okay finally got it working again. I tried those instructions before Cintech with no luck. But I figured Id try one last time. And I believe what did it is when you go into the devicemanager to delete the motioninjoy drivers, you have to check the little check box that says "Delete the driver software for this device". Once I did that and restarted everything seems to be working again. So you may want to add that to your instructions.
Thanks and Kudos

It sounds like I am having the SAME issue! I am running Windows 7, and my S510 keyboard/mouse worked great on my previous work laptop running XP Pro. This is the first time trying them on this laptop, with this OS. The batteries are new, and I've installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the programs/drivers directly from logitech's page several times now. Help...!

I also do not have the Logitech Desktop Messenger... could this be an issue, too?

Hello BC2007 ,
Motioninjoy is a third party driver package that allowed a console controller to be used on a PC but it also caused issues with keyboards and mice after a Windows update . Did you have this installed? What is your operating system? You would not need Logitech Desktop Messenger on a newer system . Below is a link to the S510 software.

No, I never had Motioninjoy products installed. I am running WIndows 7 32-bit.
I just uninstalled the software again, and will try reinstalling it ... again...
