I used to use old dish satellite box and was able to play my mac book computer for films and you tubes on my Samsung TV

I always had one wire with the "HDM1 in" and and one wire for sound from the back of the tv connecting to the mac and always worked before

Now the only thing that has changed is that we have the high definition satellite box I can't find a way to get my mac to work with the tv
Firstly is it a certain channel on the tv - it used to be channel 3 -  I was told that it was now channel 63 for this but it skips 63
- I have gone through a lot of channels with no luck so far

other than that any ideas what to do please
