red momo died :( G27 lives :) W @ pics

Not my native language so I'll try to Be Brief. My old man (70+) has been using this red momo for ages, ( he loved it) and today the thing finally died, he literally snapped it in half ( ...before that, one of the pedals -i think the break- died, so i used the infamous "squash ball trick" and i fixed that one) Sadly no cure this time. So we got the G27 ( $584 usd "__" just dont ask) He is really happy with it, but i find it slightly " cheaper" compared to the red one ( leader on the wheel seems poorly glued and badly stitched , buttons placement could be better, etc) maybe im just bitter because of the price, ouch XD anyway 2 pics, enjoy ( lol @ ball) http://img154.imagevenue.com/galshow.php?gal=gallery_1317761919891_459lo

Re: red momo died :( G27 lives :) W @ pics

Just tonight this exact part broke in my momo force. I've had it for 10 years and I am just devastated.

Please Logitech, help me with a part or at least some cad drawings so I can have it 3d printed.

It's the main wheel hub, part # 001872 (also marked on it is CAV1).

I've tried many other wheels and just cant go without this one. it's magic.

Please help.

Unfortunately, Logitech does not distribute product components for these wheels.

Thanks for the prompt response, I understand that you have stopped supporting it anymore.

A couple of years ago I rang tech support here in Australia and the person who helped me actually found the part I needed . I believe he took it from a product that had been returned (terminal death). I expect it will be even harder now to find anything as this product is quite rare.

Logitech must still have the design files for the wheel. I do NOT want all the design files, it is Logitech IP and I respect that. If you are unable/unwilling to supply the part, I don't think it's unreasonable to request the design for that part so that I can manufacture it myself (at least let me support myself). I am willing to pay for the original design file of that part if need be (within reason obviously).

Unfortunately you dont make anything as good as this wheel anymore (I've tried them), or I would simply go and buy a new one. I just want my awesome Logitech momo force up and running again.
