Attack 3 Joystick problem...

Hello, I've been having a bit of problem with my Attack 3 Joystick for quite some time now; been looking all over the internet for solutions but to no avail.

The problem I encountered was through Battlefield 3. While on foot or vehicles, I would be forced to continuously look left. I have checked the profiler of the joystick, and without me even touching the joystick, the handle position is shown as +67%, +45%. In other words, the red crosshair is to the left rather than the centre of the box shown in the profiler. I can still touch the edges when moving the joystick, all the buttons respond properly. So this explains what happened with BF3, but I have no idea how to fix this.

Is there any way I can fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Sainare,

You can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

-Unplug then re-plug the Logitech Attack 3 Joystick.

-Calibrate the Logitech Attack 3 Joystick:

In Windows XP:

-Go to Control Panel.

-Select Game Controllers.

- Hold down the CTRL and SHIFT keys at the same time then click  on Properties.

-Go to the Test tab first and test the controls on the Logitech Attack 3 Joystick

-Then go to the Settings tab.

-Click  "Calibrate" and follow the on-screen instructions.

In Windows Vista/7

-Go to Control Panel.

-Select Devices and Printers

-Right click the Logitech Attack 3 Joystick

-Click Game Controller Settings

-Press CTRL+SHIFT+ Left click on Properties.

-Go to the Settings tab.

-Click Calibrate.

Hope this helps.

Re: Attack 3 Joystick problem...

I've got the same problem and calibrating it does nothing. Throttle goes from 0 to 81% and the X axis (left to right movement I believe) will only go halfway to the right from center. It will not go completely to the right. I've used a couple of calibration tools and they both come up with the same problem. The Logitech calibration tool shows that the throttle is used intermittently even though I am not touching it.

This type of problem seems to plague this joystick as I am seeing quite a few posts on the internet with people having the same type of issue. How can this be fixed?
