F310 Gamepad laggy in-game and in calibration tool

I recently purchased the PC version of the new NFS Most Wanted game. I loaded it up and attempted to play using my F310 gamepad. I found the controls really "weird" but couldn't put my finger on what exactly was wrong.

Then, after loading up the Windows gamepad calibration tool (in gamepad settings) I realized the problem was with a delay in control action to PC reaction. Whenever I moved one of the direction sticks, it would take ~300ms for the movement to register (both in the tool & in game). Sames goes for button presses.

I tried both xbox and PS3 settings on the controller, but they don't seem to make a difference. I have no lag with my keyboard/mouse. There is no extension cable..

My Mouse is a Logitech G700, keyboard is a G510, and I also have a G13 but it's not plugged in.

Any ideas? I like logitech products because they work great... but this has me stumped!

Re: F310 Gamepad laggy in-game and in calibration tool

Hello incredimike,

Here are some possible troubleshooting steps that you can try to resolve the issue with your Logitech F310 Gamepad:

  • Try different USB ports.
  • Try recalibrating the gamepad:

For Windows XP:

-Go to Control Panel.

-Select Game Controllers.

- Hold down the CTRL and SHIFT keys at the same time then click  on Properties.

-Go to the Test tab first and test the controls on the gamepad.

-Then go to the Settings tab.

-Click  "Calibrate" and follow the on-screen instructions.

For Windows Vista/7

-Go to Control Panel.

-Select Devices and Printers.

-Right click the gamepad.

-Click Game Controller Settings.

-Go to the Settings tab.

-Click Calibrate.

  • Test the gamepad on different games.
  • In case the issue is caused by a 3rd party software conflict, try testing the Logitech F310 Gamepad with NFS Most Wanted after performing a clean boot.
  • Test the gamepad on a different computer.
