Hello! I have a new g500 that came on my door today. I now notice that my mouse pointer is "shaking" when i move it to any position on screen. It is not shaking while i move it, but the mouse pointer start to shake when moving ends. It shakes for like 1 second each times. Please any help?

Wow, I have the same problem with my G5. At first, I thought I was having withdrawal symptoms and causing my hands to shake (really!). Then I realize it was the mouse. I actually bought a G500 to stop the shaking. Sad to hear you notice it too on the G500. Any one else have any ideas?

I have the same problem (and my cursor doesn't move when I shake it in the air). Did anyone resolve this? Is it a problem with the model or just a faulty unit?

Hey guys! Your mice are fine, and in perfect working order, here's why:
When i first used my G5 ( currently have G500), i had major issues when doing my graphic design work, due to the 'shaking' at micro movements. So one day i figured it out.
The laser detects every little thing on the surface it is used on.
For eg: A fabric mousepad, wooden table etc causes jerking.
Use a flat, smooth surface, test it on a magazine if you don't believe me.
Laser mouse gaming mousepad, available from almost anywhere and are not too expensive either.
Hope it helps

I have a brand new g500 mouse. from the second I installed it the mouse has shaking very bad when ending a movement.
I have done all of the following:
-cleaned laser (even tho its brand new)
-uninstalled all old drivers
-uninstalled all old mouse software
-re-installed g500 software/drivers.
-tried many different surfaces (hard/soft pads, wood desk no grains, book, sheet of paper)
-verifed that snap to was disabled
-tried with and with out enhanced pointer precision
-tried different usb ports
the pointer on screen does not move when shaking the mouse in air so that leads me to beleive it is not a lose laser.
I am running windows 7 64bit if that matters at all.

Sorry to revive an old topic but I get this exact same issue! I've tried different surfaces but it still happens, it's been driving me nuts!
