TVCamHD Ring volume from cam unit

The volume of the ring that emits from the onboard speaker of the cam unit seems very low. Not loud enough to get over a low volume setting on the TV during the watching of a program. When the input is switched from the cable box to the HDMI input from the Cam unit the volume is fairly adequate, I would assume the speakers of the TV take the ring audio from the cam unit from then on. Is this normal. If so the person we bought the unit for will never hear it ring.

I completely understand your point of view CWTIII and I will be more than glad to help you with any concern about our Logitech TV Cam HD.
Our Logitech TV Cam HD has a built-in ringer lets you know when someone’s calling ,whether your TV is on or off, that is why you dont hear any sound coming from the TV, you only hear it from the TV Cam when you are watching a TV program or Movie.
What I can do for you is to send this feedback to our product specialist since this kind of feedback helps us a lot when developing any of our products.

Ah, But I think you miss the point. The voume of the ring coming from the cam unit is so low that it cannot be heard over the volume of the tv in normal operation. Is this normal, is there an issue. I'm thinking it must be a defective unit if the skype call ringer does not get above the normal volume of the TV?

Rest assured CWTIII and I will be more than glad to continue helping you with our Logitech TV Cam HD.
Just to double check, do you have your ringer volume to the highest? What ringer are you using, the Skype Ringer or the Clasical Ringer?
In order to check this settings, please follow the steps below:
- Be on your Home Screen
- Go to Settings
- Select the Audio Option
- Open the Ringer Volume option
- Select "High"
- Go back to the Audio options
- Open the Call Ringer option
- Select Classical

I tried to mirror your issue and I checked different scenarios and actually when you have the TV a bit loud, sometimes you won't be able to hear the TV Cam Ringing.
What I can do for you is to send this feedback to our product specialist since this kind of feedback helps us a lot when developing any of our products and see if they are able to increase the sound on the Logitech TV Cam HD.
