Boombox UE Bluetooth connection with MacBook Pro

Does anyone know if I am able to connect my MacBook Pro with my UE protable bluetooth BOOMBOX?

I am able to find it with the bluetooth on the MacBook, but I get an error stating that the "the device does not have the necessary services"

Was really hoping I could pair the two..

Thanks

Re: Boombox UE Bluetooth connection with MacBook Pro

Hi sai94,

I'm afraid that both the Logitech UE Boombox and the Logitech UE Mobile Boombox are not supported on Mac OS. They are only supported with iOS, Android and Windows Tablet.

I hope that you find this useful sai94, best regards.

Re: Boombox UE Bluetooth connection with MacBook Pro

[ Edited ]

I am using the Logitech Boombox with my 2010 17" Macbook Pro running OS X 10.8.4. It pairs and I can use it as an audio device. I am listening to it right now!

The reason I happened upon your post is that I couldn't get more than a second of audio to play from my Macbook today. It had worked fine before.  Apparently the configuration got corrupted. Un-pairing and re-pairing fixed the issue.

Re: Boombox UE Bluetooth connection with MacBook Pro

hello,

Hey Logotech support, what you told is actually wrong.

I got my UE Boom today and the first time I tried to cennect them to my Macbook Pro 13" Retina 2013 it didnt work.

But it works when you go to System Preferences and then ad the device.

Now it works with my Macbook and I hope I could help someone with this.

(sry for my bad English but I am German :smileyhappy: )

Re: Boombox UE Bluetooth connection with MacBook Pro

What Pau said is valid for me. Connected using Android, but Mac Book Pro (10.8.4) is not able to find the Boombox.

On the other side, Logitech it takes not a lot to make the Boombox also Mac ready, right?

Thank you

Vignus

Re: Boombox UE Bluetooth connection with MacBook Pro

On the Mac ...

1. Open "System Preferences"
2. Select "Bluetooth"

On the Speaker ...

3. Hold down the bluetooth button in the centre of the UE Speaker until the blue light is flashing

Back on the Mac ...

4. Look for the "UE Mobile Boombox" entry in the bluetooth list and select "Pair"

Enjoy!

Re: Boombox UE Bluetooth connection with MacBook Pro

At first I could not connect my new Boombox UE Bluetooth to my MacBook Pro, which is running OS X 10.7.5. After messing around with the setting I found that you must do the following:

Open System Preferences

Open Bluetooth

Ensure Bluetooth is on and discoverable

Find device

Click on the settings button next to the add device below where the devices are listed and ensure that it can be used as an "audio device"

Then connect to the device.

Hope this helps!

Re: Boombox UE Bluetooth connection with MacBook Pro

With a macbook pro retina 13'' , it works really well but it's really boring that we can't use two in same time like ti's possible with an ipad or iphone...

Re: Boombox UE Bluetooth connection with MacBook Pro

I just bought a Macbook Pro and I have the UE Boombox. The Macbook finds the boombox and pairs, but doesnt fully connect and ends up saying not connected. Any ideas?
