Can the "automatic microphone sensititvity control" be switched off?

The level automatically adjusts itself, usually to high sensitivity level. How can the function be switched off, so that the microphone sensitivity level remains constant, at the level desired by the user.

The microphone volume auto adjustment does not have an off/disable function.

Yet, this is very inconvenient!!! The microphone sentivity keeps automatically increasing until it becomes maximum. At the end of the day the audio chain becomes overloaded causing high distorsion at the receiving end.

Is there any possibility to stop this automatic increase?!?
