Re: C910 driver crashing on MAC OS 10.7.2 during Logitech Vid HD Call

Any update when it may get fixed? I'll be returning the webcam tomorrow.

Hello;

Please try the following:

On your Mac running Lion (i.e. OS 10.7) launch Logitech Vid HD.

Click on Settings > Application& Device Settings > Advanced Settings.

Scroll down the "Advanced Settings" screen at the bottom of the page.

Uncheck the box stating "Use automatic bandwidth tuning".

Change the value for "Start my calls at (kbps)" to "1536".

Click "Save"

Place some test calls to your friend who is running Logitech Vid HD on their Revue.

Thanks

Hi MCW,

Your tip is not working.

I wonder why Logitech sells a "Mac compatible" webcam that does not work with the 6 months old Mac OS X Lion - why don't they warn Lion buyers about the problem.

Re: C910 driver crashing on MAC OS 10.7.2 during Logitech Vid HD Call

Hi all,

there just has been an update for the C910 but.... only for Windows which I run on my Linux laptop for use with very special software I sometimes use.

QUESTION: why is ther e no update for Mac OS X if this webcam is recommended for Mac??

Bon courage

Re: C910 driver crashing on MAC OS 10.7.2 during Logitech Vid HD Call

Hello;

Just to clarify, my recent suggested troubleshooting steps posted above assumes that the Logitech Webcam Software (i.e. LWS) for Macintosh is not installed on the the computer running the Lion operating system (i.e. 10.7).

If you tried the steps and had the LWS installed and you experienced a Logitech Vid HD application crash when calling a user on a Revue, please try the following:

Unplug your C910 from your computer.

Uninstall the LWS and reboot.

Plug the C910 into your computer.

Launch Logitech Vid HD and sign in.

Click "Save".

Place a couple test calls to the "Vid 2 Min Demo (e-mail address vidtest@logitech.com) and stay on the full 2 minutes.

Then place a couple test calls to your Revue user.

Thanks
