Cannot login to Lgitech ViD!!

I got an e-mail about Logi Vid. I down-load it, install it, but I cannot logon. The very e-mail address that got sent an e-mail about it can not be used to logon. I have been searching these forums for an answer, but there really isn't one. Just a band-aid solution of creating a new e-mail address. Per the support page on here that solution works even if some else is already using your e-mail for Logi Vid. Which in itself sounds dumb, but I digress.

I already have 4 e-mail addys. Two with hotmail, and two with yahoo. None of them work. I have no idea why. I refuse to make another just to use this application.

FWI the addy that recieved the e-mail, and the one I originally tried with Logi Vid is the same e-mail I used to register here for these forums. After all 4 addys failed I decide to try and seek some help. Now I find it really strange that I can use the addy here. And TBH with your companies track record of making the consumer jump through hoops I would find it strange if using the address here does not make it uneligible to be used for Logitech Vid.

Re: Cannot login to Lgitech ViD!!

Hello BigTool,

Please private message me your email address so I can take a look at your account profile.

If there are other email addresses affected by this issue please send them as well.

Do you receive any error message(s) when you try to log into Vid?

Thx

Re: Cannot login to Lgitech ViD!!

We just installed Google TV onto our living room system.  We were having trouble creating our Vid account on the TV, so used our PC (Windows 7) to set up in the office.  Created the account no issues.

After closing out Vid in the office on the PC we tried to use it via the living room TV (Google TV) and are unable to.  The errors comes up "invalid email".  ???  Not sure why it's invalid in the living room but works fine in the office?

HELP!  We want to video chat w/ a relative overseas in the miliatary and can't do it until this is reosolved!

Thnkas

Re: Cannot login to Lgitech ViD!!

Hi,

I have the same problem - I just got Logitech TV Box and plugged in that Web Camera, but I can not login to VID account, same time I can loging to my PC with my credentials.

Just wondering if Logitech Tech support has resolved that issue.

Thanks!

Hello,

For those with a Revue and login problem please try the following:

Launch Logitech Vid HD

Navigate through the options by selecting each of the following in the listed sequence; Settings > Application & Device Settings > Advanced Settings

Scroll down and select "Clear Tuning History" and then click "Save".

Reboot the computer.

On the Revue please perform the following steps:

If Logitech Vid HD is running on the Revue, click "Force Stop" first and exit the application before performing these steps.

then

Press the "Home" key on the Revue keyboard and then press the "Settings" key.

Navigate through the options by selecting each of the following in the listed sequence; System Settings > Applications > Manage applications > Logitech Vid HD > Clear Data:Acknowledge the Delete message by selecting "OK"

NOTE: Deleting this data will also delete the data stored in the Logitech Vid HD login page e-mail address and password fields. You will be required to re-enter that information the next time you launch the app.

After you finish this step reboot the Revue by pressing Ctrl Alt Del

Once this is done, launch the Vid HD application and sign in.

Call the Vid 2 Min Demo (vidtest@logitech.com) to test quality from all machines.

Try calls again between the PCs and the Revue.

If you have continued issues, power cycle your modem and router.

If you still have issues; if possible, power off your router and connect your Revue directly to the modem for testing.

If none of these steps help please contact Logitech Support
