I am new to the higher end video calling so forgive my ignorance, I do video supervision and have recently upgraded to the c910 running on Windows 7. I am attempting to use the Vid HD and have sent an invitation to the individual I supervise. The question is whether the person I am video calling needs to have the Logitech hardware and Vid HD software to connect with me? I really need a higher quality pic and sound than Skype and have heard that the Vid HD is the way to go. Thanks for any advice that can be given.

Hello clarkND;
Logitech Vid HD works with many third party USB webcams.
We do recommend the use of an HD capable Logitech webcam to help optimize the audio and video quality of your calls.
The friends you want to video chat with will need to install Logitech Vid HD. It is free to use.
When you added your friends e-mail address, the invitation e-mail that was automatically sent to them contains a link that when clicked, takes them to a page on the Logitech website where they may download and install Logitech Vid HD.
Thanks
MCW
