I can not get the logitech vid for windows 7 to download!  Help!

I also just tried downloading Vid with an XP OS and it wouldn't work.  I called their tech line at 646-454-3200 and a very helpful tech worked with me till we figured out the machine needs to have Visuall C++ installed to download.  

Maybe that's your problem.  

I went out and installed Visual C++ Express for free, but that didn't help - probably have to buy the Visual C++ software.

Hello;

If you haven't already done so, make sure you have installed all the available critical updates for your computer by way of the windows update option.

If you have continued issues, make sure you are using the latest version of your web browser. If you already have the latest version, try an alternate web browser.

If your issue persists, please contact Logitech Support directly and provide them your operating system version, name of web browser and version of the browser as well as the specific failure behavior you are observing.

I was going to download it again also affer removing it because hard to get it to work correctly these days. 

So, I'm using IE9, windows 7 and everything is as updated as can be.  Everytime I select the OS it just ignores it and ask again.

But I did download elsewhere.

I was having the same problem, I was in a "chose OS" loop with the latest IE.  I followed one of the suggestions and tried it with Firefox and it worked perfectly.  Now to figure out why my laptops internal mic works just fine until I'm on a call, then it stops. lol

It appears have to use the compatibility view on IE9 now to download anything on Logiitech website. Support send me a link to download VID from a ftp site.  But I tried getting software to setup a C920 webcam that windows 7 didn't get automatic, but couldn't get past picking the OS again. 

So, finally click on compatibility view and it worked OK.  I guess something has changed on logitech's site or maybe windows update messed things up.  I don't know but glad I could get the sofrware for the C920 since it don't come with a disc.

I wonder if this will ever be corrected.

What is it with this system I can not get past the select opertating system. I think I may have to choose a different video conferencing system but I was told this is a good system.
