Logitech Vid

Good Morning.

I bought my Logitech webcam to use with Skype.  However, in the future some friends may have Vid HD, so I'm wondering if I can download and install Vid HD and also the Skype software too.  I'd like to be able to use both when and if the occasion occurs, and I would assume I could pick and choose, right?

Hello scotirish;

You may have both Skype and Logitech Vid HD installed on your computer. I would suggest that you not have both running at the same time as they might conflict with each other. Specifically, one application might enumerate the webcam and not allow the other application to access it.

Thanks very much for your fast response.

What I plan to do is download the Logitech Webcam software CD that came with my C310 and set up my Vid HD account.

Tomorrow or the next day I plan to go to the Skype website and download their software and get an account there.  So, I'll be able to use either as the occasion dictates.    I thought this would be O.K., as you confirmed, but I just wanted to make sure.

I am looking for the Vid download too.  I click on the link you provide, but I don't see the "'Downloads' link located above the the teal & white Vid HD icon."  I don't see a teal & white Vid HD icon at all.  Can you explain?  Thanks
