When my friend and I am deaf, we have since Logitech Vid arrived used
Logitech Vid to video communications. Since my friend has changed his
PCs out with an iMac computer, and we now both use the iMac, have
communication not worked. The image appears in black image. We have
tried to reinstall Vid, sent each an invitation, but it did not help.
Is it because of that Vid can not communicate between
Imac? Have a proposal to solve the problem?
Sincerely, Brugden

Hello Brugden:
Macintosh: Vid works with Tiger 10.4.11 or higher, Leopard 10.5.0 or higher, Safari 3.0 or newer and we recommend a G4 1GHz or faster processor. And of course, Vid can work with Intel Processors as well.
Here is a link to an FAQ to assist you and your contact with video issues.
NOTE: In the FAQ, the operating system menu references are windows based. However, the application menu aspects are nearly identical for Macintosh users.
Thanks

Hello MCW
Thank you for your prompt response.
I have previously seen it propose definitive link - but it has not helped. In setting the camera is built in ISigt and I can also see the image of myself. Same approach as I have done with my friend and each of which works fine.?
My iMac is a version 10.6.2, Processor is 2GHz Intel Core Duo.
Vid is from version 6.1.6910
My friend's iMac is the latest.
I hope for better luck next time, I send the friendliest greetings from Brugden
PS:
Forgot to tell that my video conversations with friends with alm (;-))
PCs work perfectly. Only between the two Mac is having problems
Sincerely from Brugden

Hello Brugden:
When you call each other, are you able to see your own images in the lower right corner of the screen and the rest of the screen is black? If you do not see your image in the lower right corner, while in call, click the "toggle picture in picture" icon a few times to see if it appears.
or
Do you see nothing but an entirely black screen?
Have you and your contact try the following as well:
Do a practice call. Are you and your contact able to see yourselves?
Add your own Logitech Vid e-mail address to your contacts list and call yourselves. Are you able to see your own video?
Thanks
MCW

Hi again
I can see my image when my friend call me and I have accepted the call, the same vice versa.
Regarding your last question. - Yes I can see myself in both images.
With respect to my friend, I can not answer because he was not home at the moment.
Sincerely, Brugden

Hello Brugden:
Provided your contact has the same results with the test calls we proposed, we suggest that you and your contact do the following:
Quit Logitech Vid and launch the application again. Place a couple test calls to each other. If you experience the black screen issue, immediately after both of the calls have ended, click the ? in the lower right corner of the application. Then click "Submit Diagnostic Information". Then click "Contact Support" on that same Logitech Vid screen or click support and reference this forums thread in your correspondence.
Thanks

Hello again
I now have communicated several times with my contact person - still
without success. I've submitted a bug report to Logitech.
My contact's email address is:(personal content edited)
with respect to my e-mail, you know it already.
Hope it's ok.
Sincerely, Brugden
