Hello,
i'm using VID HD to video chat with my family in South Korea and it was great until late of February. We never had any problem with VID. But from that time...
1. The video quality gets worse and wose as time goes on after we are connected. For the first few seconds after the connection they can see us quite clearly. But after that the video quality becomes poor. We can see them vividly, but they can't.
I check the 'status' information from my side. The value of "Cur" starts at around 1000, but it keeps going down and it gets stuck around 30~40 after 2~3 mins. If we try reconnect, then it starts at 900~1000 and keeps dropping again, so they cannot see us while we are seeing them clearly.
2. This starts happening with the problem 1, when my family logged off from VID HD(actually, they turned off the PC) I can still see thay are "available." If I try to make a call, then VID says they are offline. But still they are showing "available" after VID fails to make a call.
Do you have any advices for these problem? Thanks in advance..

Hello tkim;
I would suggest that both you and your family do the following:
Power off the computer.
Power cycle your modem and router by unplugging them for a minute and then plug them back in; modem first and wait for the status lights to cycle; router next and wait for the status lights to cycle; boot up computer last.
Then launch Logitech Vid HD and sign in.
Click the menu links Settings > Application & Device Settings > Advanced Settings
In the Advanced Settings window at the bottom of the application, scroll down until you see the button "Clear Tuning History".
Click this button and then click the "Save" button.
Close out of the Settings page.
Add vidtest@logitech.com as a friend.
Place a couple test calls to the "Vid 2 Min Demo" and stay on the call for the full 2 minutes.
Then you and your family place calls to each other.
Thanks
MCW
