Logitech Vid

I have a Webcam C310. I tried to use Vid HD, but I ran into a problem. It didn't recognize my speakers or my microphone. I actually have two microphones on my computer. One is in the Webcam itself, and the other is an AT2020 connected to my tower via a USB port. The speakers and mic did work on other video chats, however. Thoughts?

Hello sharkey81;

It's possible that Logitech Vid HD may be running in compatibility mode.

If Vid HD is running, press the keyboard shortcut CTRL Q to quit the program.

Alternatively, you may right click the Vid HD icon in the Windows task bar notification area and then click on "Exit".

Right click on Vid HD shortcut icon on your desktop and in the contextual menu that appears, click on "Properties".

In the "Logitech Vid HD Properties" window that appears, click on the "Compatibility" tab.

In the "Compatibility mode" section, make sure that the box stating "Run this program in compatibility mode for;" is not check marked. If it is, uncheck it.

Then click "Apply" and "OK".

Then right click the shortcut icon again and click on "Open".

Sign in and click on "Setting > Application and Device Settings

Check your microphone and speakers to see if they are available as options to choose and if yes, run the test for each.

If successful, Save the settings.

I tried the suggestions about looking at the compatibility box being checked.  I went in and unchecked it, but then the program itself will not open at all.  I have Windows 7 and it worked before but for some reason it quit and I re-downloaded it (several times now) and ever since I am unable to get it to recognize my mic.  I can hear my grandchildren and see them and they can see me but they cannot hear me and it says "no microphone found" when you open the settings box.

Any suggestions as what to do next?

Visit your computer or audio & video card device manufacturer's support websites for updated drivers. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions and reboot after the update. If the issue persists, please contact Logitech Vid HD Support directly.

Hi, MCW.  Thanks so much for the reply. That was the problem.  I had my compatibilty setting checked. Once I unchecked it, the speakers and the mic both became functional. However, I had to open and close Vid HD a few times before it recognized them. I can't believe now that a simple check mark beside a compatilbilty function was the only problem.
