I just installed a Webcam C310. the Webcam controler software works fine. I can do a "quick capture" without any trouble. However, when i start the Logitech Vid, it's unable to find the microphone.
Even if I try to update the device settings, the only choice for "Mircophone" is "no microphone found".

Logitech Vid HD may be running in compatibility mode.
Please do the following:
If Logitech Vid HD is running, click your "Available" status and select "Log me out". Then click "Exit".
Right click on the Logitech Vid HD desktop icon (i.e. the icon you would normally left click on to launch the application).
You will see a menu.
In the "Properties" dialog box that appears, select the "Compatibility" tab.
"Uncheck" the box that states "Run this program in compatibility mode for:".
Launch Logitech Vid HD and sign in.
Click Settings > Application & Device Settings.
Check your microphone.

Go ahead and revert the compatibility setting so that you are able to launch Vid HD again.
Then launch Vid HD and sign in.
Click Settings > Submit Diagnostic Information
Once the diagnostic has been submitted, please contact Logitech Support directly. Tell them you submitted the diagnostic and refer to this forums posting.

Once again, I thank you for your reply.
When I bring up VidHD there is a Settings option (on the top right of the screen), but when I click on it, the window changes and the only options I see are "Application & Device Settings" and "Manage Accounts and Contacts". Clicking on either of these does not seem to give any obvious option...
