Hello Marc1982:
We duplicated the issue as you described it and were able to resolve it by doing the following:
If Logitech Vid HD is running on your Revue, click on your status in the upper left corner and logout.
Then press and hold the Home key on your Revue Keyboard until a list of windows for all open applications appears. Close all applications by clicking the X above each one.
Return to the Revue home page and press the "Settings" button on the lower right side of the Revue keyboard (button located adjacent to Alt key).
Scroll near the bottom of the list and select "Applications".
Then select "Manage Applications"
In the applications list, scroll near the bottom and select "Logitech Vid HD"
Select "clear data".
This will completely reset the Vid HD application.
Once this is done, exit the settings page and return to the Revue home page.
Launch the Vid HD application.
It will go through camera set up process again.
Once this is done, enter your login credentials and sign in.
Place a test call to the "Vid 2 Min Demo". Then test call your other computers.
Thanks
MCW

My firewire camera does not show up for webcams. It works fine in Skype as "Sony DV device". Any ideas?

For anyone interested, the PM said my Revue recognizes my firewire camcorder and the manufacturer, but the video capture formats (compressed and uncompressed) are not supported by Logitech Vid HD.

I have the same issue here and will continue to parse the forum but the receiving end has a camera and they can see themselves on-screen but I get the message about "their computer is not powerfull enough". I reset my vid app and unchecked the setting to "optimize" as well. They unchecked thier settings for optimize and auto-select as well. But no video on my revue.
You say <<Place a test call to the "Vid 2 Min Demo">>. How do I do that? When I add a user, it asks me for a email address.
Thanks...

Hello jjeeffffgg;
Try your Micorsoft HD webcam with UVC drivers as follows:
Uninstall the Microsoft HD webcam software/driver. Then disconnect the webcam and reboot your PC.
After the reboot, make sure no other messaging or video chat applications are running.
Then re-connect the webcam. Windows will detect your Microsoft HD webcam and install the generic UVC driver.
Once the installation is finished, launch Logitech Vid HD and sign in. Go to Settings > Application & Device Settings to make sure you have your webcam selected and you see your image in the left side preview window. Then click "Save"
NOTE: Your webcam may appear as the name "USB Video Device".
Once this is done, add your own Vid HD e-mail address as a contact and call yourself on your PC.
Then call your Vid HD account on the Revue.
Thanks

I have purchased a logitech revue, 2 things are an issue.
1. When plugging in my STB Scientific Atlanta 8300HD, Time Warner, the picture doesn't show up sometimes and other times it freezes. I have rebooted both the revue and STB and no change. Help.
2. I have the revue vid cam, the first night everything worked fine, then since the first call. We can't see the video from anyone's PC and our image is choppy, I have followed all the directions from this forum to no avail. I even plugged in the ethernet instead of using wireless. When on PC it says the call quality is low. Not sure how to fix this. When I call the demo from the Revue I don't get any picture.
Video chat is very important to us, I don't want to return the item. Please help.

Hello yankeefan1972;
You mentioned your image is choppy. Just to clarify, your friends see your incoming image as choppy?
Do you see any messages displayed on the TV screen when you are in a video call and have no incoming video?
Do you see your own local image displayed in the upper left corner of the screen?
When you tried a direct ethernet connection, was it connected directly to your modem and was either your router powered off or your Revue and PC wireless adapters disabled?
Add your own Logitech Vid HD e-mail address as a friend. Call yourself on Vid HD on your Revue.
Do you see yourself?
If you have continued issues, go to speedtest.net and check your download and upload speeds.
Lastly, would you let us know the manufacturer name, model number and firmware version of your modem and router?
Thanks
MCW
