Myself and a friend have started using Logitech Vid HD recently. Video works fine on both sides. The problem is I will start hearing a static noise and what sounds like a garbling noise with the static. If i disconnect and call her back the noise is gone for a minue then returns for god knows how long if I wait it out. I am on a 12MBPS download and 1MBPS upload thru fiber optics. I do not know what kind of internet she has. It's annoying it happens while she is talking then i cant hear her because of this strange noise. May I get some help with this?
Edit: I have to tell you as a troubleshooting thing I tested for the same thing in my other video calling software. Paltalk does not have this noise. YAhoo! Messenger doesnt have this noise. Teamspeak 3 doesnt have this noise. Its only occurs on Logitech Vid HD.

Hello ddejr1972;
Please have both you and your friend do the following:
Add your own e-mail address as a friend. Place a call to yourself and observe if the static noise becomes present. If it does, we suggest your first check the connection of your audio output device to see if it is firmly seated in the port on your computer. If it is connected to an external hub, connect it directly to your computer. If the issue persists and you have access to a different audio output device, test that one. If the previous steps fail to resolve your issue, we suggest you visit your computer or audio device manufacturer's support website to download and install updated drivers. Reboot after doing so and perform the self call test again.
If you do not experience the issue on a self call, try the following to see if it may be related to your local networking devices or internet connectivity. Have both of you add vidtest@logitech.com as a friend. Call the "Vid 2 Min Demo" and stay on the full 2 minutes. Then try calls to each other. If you experience the issue and are on wireless, disable your wireless adapter and plug your computer directly into your router then test call the demo and each other. If after doing this you still have the issue, power off your router, modem and computer. Plug your computer directly into the modem. Power up the modem and after the lights cycle, power up your computer. Call the demo and each other.
Thanks
MCW

better yet im just gonna uninstall it. the software is junk. we got the noise problem gone by lowering the bandwidth. now i hear fluttering sounds. I dont have this problem with other voice and cam services. its not updated since 2 years. vid hd doesnt handle the current down and upstreams properly. your hardware is good but your software stinks!
