Mice - Bluetooth

I've gotton a Logitech Bluetooth wireless mouse for my laptop, and over the past few months of using it, it randomly kicks out and I have to cycle the bluetooth connection to get it working again. It kicks out atleast a few times each and every day, which is extremely freaking annoying.

On another note, Synaptics Pointing Device did a check for updates yesturday, and it found a new update so it downloaded and installed. The next day when I go to turn on my computer, the middle wheel is broken, and some of my hot-buttons on the keyboard don't work properly anymore.

This is getting very frustrating, and I'm almost to the point where I'd like to see a refund, unless I can get some type of fix.

I have exactly the same problem -- bluetooth mouse up and down. Sometime, the mouse gets awaken after a couple of seconds, sometime I have to use the connection tool to re-connect it. Is this a power saving feature? Can I disable it? It is very annoying this way.

My SetPoint version is 3.3 and mouse info:

RyanGordon, it sounds like you might need to try updating your bluetooth drivers, since that could be the reason you are experiencing the issue with the mouse disconnecting. Usually, we find that the bluetooth drivers are slightly outdated, and this can correct the problem. Also, as far as the update with your touchpad software, you might want to contact your computer manufacturor regarding that issue, because it's not our software.

If you have installed our software, I would suggest uninstalling it, because it's not needed for the functionality of ANY of our mice and keyboards, it's only going to add features that are not available without the software. To best test the function of the mouse, removing the software and running it without the software will help determine if you are having a problem related to software.

I am having similar problems. I have the bluetooth diNovo desktop. I had the mouse connected to an XP computer and it was working fine. I got a new computer running Vista and started experiencing problems. I have tried it with the SetPoint software that came with it (3.3c), without the SetPoint software at all, and with the new SetPoint 4.4. In all three instances with Vista I get the same behavior. The mouse often floats or wanders off. It can be "sluggish" moving way to slowly making it almost impossible to navigate. This is usually immediately followed by a complete disconnection. I have to toggle the power switch on the mouse to get it reconnected and working. When I downloaded SetPoint 4.4 it upgraded the firmware on the bluetooth receiver, and still it is having the problems. Did this not come with an newer driver for the receiver for Vista? Why does this not seem to work with Vista?

I've bought a new Logitech V470 Bluetooth mouse yesterday. Everything was cool! Vista recognized it quickly, bluetooth mouse much better than even my traditinal mouse. I was very pleased to buy this mouse....

until 1 hour ago... it does not work. it cannot communicate with my laptop. I restarted my notebook, I re-installed driver, put new batteries... situation has not changed. i cannot see even that blue light at the top of the mouse that I used to see.

what might be the reason?? I bought it from Buy.com, should I get contact with buy.com or Logitech?

if you can enlighten me in this matter, I'd really appreciate it

Windows XP, service pack 3

logitech MX620 blue tooth mouse

driver 4.60.124 (newest version available at this time)

control center 4.60.122 (newest version available at this time)

This is my second attempt at making this mouse work.  It cuts out and fails to click or track at least once a minute.

Initially I tried downloading new drivers, reinstalling all software and drivers but to no avail.  Next idea was that it was a hardware issue.  I exchanged it for a new version of same mouse from my retailer.  SAME PROBLEM STILL OCCURS.

This mouse is not suitable for graphic design or office use and I am very dissapointed in Logitech right now.

I also have the same problem, of the mouse being "sluggish" and getting disconnected FREQUENTLY !!

The link posted above for SetPoint 3.15 does not have a software download available for vista users, which I think, is the operating system for most of the people with this similar problem.

I have tried the suggestion on the forums but the result is still the same, and it would be great to see it fixed.

Edit: I'm using the latest SetPoint but no difference in performance of the mouse.

I just got v470 and it has intermittent connection issues with my HP 6715b laptop.  It also can't work after I bring the laptop out of standby.  What a POS.  I also have Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 on my desktop and I have disconnect issues with it as well.  I think I'm through with Logitech garbage.

Looks like no one from Logitech is monitoring this thread or cares anymore. I bought a Microsoft bluetooth keyboard for Vista and it has worked without incident. I won't be buying Logitech again. I need products that work and a company that supports its products when they don't.
