The wheel on my VX Nano mouse does not spin like it used to. It used to spin for quite a long time when I gave it a flick (best feature ever!), now it barely scrolls half a page before stopping.

Does the wheel require regular cleaning and/or lubricating to maintain it's free-spinning action? Can it be done by the user safely without damaging the toggle between free-spin and ratched mode?

This is usually caused by some kind of obstruction. It might be possible to clear it with compressed air. If that doesn't work, please e-mail Customer Support to process a warranty replacement.
