I am sorry Yon, but we do need the proof of purchase to obtain the warranty.

Re: Logitech mouse G7 freezes

OK then I just found the Tax invoice from the newer of the 2 faulty G7 mice. As I cannot get to the other tax invoice as http://www.nintek.com.au no longer lets you get to its account section there is no hope of finding that tax invoice. I would put my faith in Logitech to replace both as I have misplaced a 2 year old tax invoice

Re: Logitech mouse G7 freezes

Hello I was contacted today from a representative from Logitech informing me that my G7 will be replaced with a G5 as the G7 has been discontinued. However as the price of G7 is around $90 and the 5g is about $65 AUD I don’t know if it is just me or should a product be replaced with = or better.

Thanks Yon

Re: Logitech mouse G7 freezes

Your replacement should be an upgrade not a downgrade, insist on a G9 or get your money back.

They did discontinue the G7 as it had way too many returns, It would be impressive to hear someone with this mouse that can last for 3yrs+ w/o a single issue.

I Received my G5 today as the replacement to the G7 that was faulty. I am currently talking to ******** from Logitech Australia about this problem and so far she has been very helpful.

Hi all!!!
I am 90 percent sure that the problem is the battery being jolted, the connection may be bad due to it not being clean as mentioned before; also the battery is not pressed tightly enough into its proper location.  If you take your G7 mouse and hit it hard enough sideways against your keyboard you will see the same effect as that which is pissing us all off. So, the problem is the connection to the battery.
how to fix this
: do as mentioned by unkownpain; see page 5 of this forum
: wedge something else between the back of the battery and the mechanism that holds the battery in the mouse
:Logetich peeps - come on now....

other thoughts .. some of you guys are thinking ...well i don't move my mouse around like that and hit stuff ..and shake it ...well i hate to say it ...but it does not take much to cause a vibration in your mouse at a small level ...but doing it continuous will cause that spring to give ...enough for a disconnect. ..  i also noticed that when i move my mouse around very slowly lifting it off the pad ..it did not disconnect.....

more thoughts. ...we all are experiencing this after months of usage (or most) ...so something is getting dirty or giving out....definately the mouse! and not the usb mothership command center holster?!?!?

Re: Logitech mouse G7 freezes

another thought .....haha ...do this peeps. ..take your battery out ...now push it in ..slowly(dirty minds) ...and watch for when the light kicks on....right before the latch sets in ...RIGHT BEFORE....that should have been done a little differently ..the lights should come on an 1/8 inch before it is locked in. ..bad design... bad bad ...
