Changing Batteries in Mouse

Does anyone know how to go about changing the mouse batteries for the MX5000 keyboard/mouse combo?  All 3 of the LCD lights are lit on my mouse, which should mean the batteries are fully charged, but I keep getting a message on my screen that says the batteries for the mouse are critical.  So I'm thinking I need to change the batters, but can't figure out how to get the cover off in order to do that.

Thanks in advance for your help :-)

Re: Changing Batteries in Mouse

Hi Jen26034,

I noted that you would like to replace the battery for the MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse from your Cordless Desktop MX5000 Laser. This would be impossible as the internal rechargeable battery for the MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse was never meant to be changed.

I believe that the battery warning comes from SetPoint. I would suggest that you try to perform a clean installation of the latest version of SetPoint in the attempt to resolve this issue.

Also, please ensure that you have the USB receiver for the Cordless Desktop MX5000 Laser connected directly to a USB port on your computer.

I hope that this would rectify the issue:smileywink:
