Logitech MX Air - volume in Winamp ?

Hi,
I have am using Winamp. I have problems adjusting volume with the mOuse. If I adjust, nothing happens. I do get the gray volume bar and moving slider, but when I look at the Volume Mixer in Windows, nothing happens. Seems Setpoint Volume settings is coompletely detached from Windows volume settings.

What can I do. Any idea here? Shall I uberOptions? Not sure...

Thanks!

Re: Logitech MX Air - volume in Winamp ?

Hi all,
I have the same problem. I'm using Windows Vista Business 64-bit.
The air volume control works great without setpoint, but if setpoint is running I can just see the nice volume bar moving, without any effects.

Did you manage to sort it out?

Thanks!

Re: Logitech MX Air - volume in Winamp ?

Guys, I would suggest that you send an official email request for this issue or call the Logitech support directly. Reason being is, this is user discussion forum and the support specialist will chime in once in awhile but forums is not an official support method. You also try to PM Support specialist like Mona or Kunal for assistance if no one is assisting you on this thread.

Just to help you, I have PM them and hope they would be able to help you soon :smileyhappy:
Regards,

Mal

Re: Logitech MX Air - volume in Winamp ?

[ Edited ]
Hi all, think I may have fixed it.

Background: Installed Vista Premium 64 bit the other week and bought the MX Air after my DiNovo mouse died (keyboard and keypad had perished some months before due to some unidentified hardware fault). Little did I know the DiNovo MX900 perished because I had downloaded all the latest updates to my freshly installed Vista (including that infamous one that destroys all USB perhiperals!). Anyway I ended up buying the MX Air and had read about this problem previously so was prepared. And yes the volume control did not adjust the acutal sound volume while Setpoint was running.

The Fix: After reinstalling Vista Prem 64bit due to the USB problem from the irreversible Windows update I noticed that I had an additional sound device: my soundblaster and an additional windows HD audio device, in my device list. I rememberd this being listed before. Note I had disabled my onboard sound in the Bios so it couldnt have been that. It was possibly something to do with my ATI 2600XT card? Anyway I disabled it leaving just my Creative audio device and now my MX Air Volume actually controls the sound output with Setpoint in the background providing me with the screen volume control.

Note: I currently have the Vista driver signing disabled and had this disabled for all of my installs. Also as of yet I have not installed any windows updates but I think a previous poster has already seen the problem on a fresh install of Vista anyway.
