If it helps, I also have a MX Revolution, a Dinovo Edge and Z-10 speakers attached to my PC. The volume slider on the Dinovo Edge works as it should.
Any ideas as to why the gesture isn't adjusting the actual volume?

The front panel usb ports on most system cases are not setup for USB2 although they are connected to usb2 peripherals on your Motherboard they revert or are meant for USB1 connection only.
This is the only LOGIcal conclusion I could personally make.
I love Logitech

Ok, so after a driver update, the volume gesture for my MX Air mouse fails to work again. Based on this, I don't believe that this issue is USB port related, but rather it has something to do with the SetPoint drivers. I've tried both the 4.00L and the 4.24.
Have you tried it without the SetPoint software and please refer to this link for more information on embedded mode. I would also suggest that you test this device on another computer if available to determine whether the problem is related to the system or the device itself.

I have the esxact same issue, and, honnestly, it don't think that have anything to do with the USB port. Most likely a problem of mapping that I do not know how to resolve. In summary:the vlume gesture move the cursor (the logitch one on the screen) but does not change the volumethe mute control does work.Note the other gestures controling windows media player work fine.
