Mice - MX Air All

I have the same issue as many here do, w/ the volume control. I can't use the workaround of disabling other playback devices besides the default one because I simply need them.

If I don't install SetPoint at all everything works ok, but now I am in the need to remap some buttons... My questions are?

1) Is there a formal response from Logitech about this issue? I don't think that Vista is to blame since w/o the SetPoint software the mouse works ok.

2) Can I remap mouse buttons w/o the use of SetPoint?

It's really frustrating to have paid that kind of money for a mouse and cannot make it work properly.
